Great post Andy, ton of wisdom and very well written. May i ask how or what software you use to track your performance, do you journal? Thank you!

Thanks JS! I’m glad you enjoyed it.

For trade journaling I have used many over the years. There are some great systems out there for stats, thoughts, trade modeling, etc. TradesViz is what I’ve used most recently. Very powerful - doing much more than I know how to use effectively.

But my fallback is simple notes and PnL reviews. Capturing thoughts in real time is important for me. Writing or dictating during every stage- pre trade planning, entries, exits, adjustments along the way, and emotions throughout.

The way I see my trading, this balancing act around position size will always be there. It's also backed up by tons of possibilities for partial entry and exit scenarios. I'm gonna face it head-on and hopefully move forward at a steady pace.

Thanks a lot for your awesome contribution to this exciting topic, Andy.

That’s the key. Slow and steady progress as you develop the system that works for you.
