As I write this at 9:30 PM on the night of Monday, February 21, 2022, there are reports that Russia has started the much-anticipated invasion of Ukraine. Futures are down, likely a signal of a bumpy week ahead for the stock market. I can’t tell you what a Russia/Ukraine war means for the global economy, oil markets, interest rates, Covid, or anything else. But I can watch the price action.
We’re all gonna lose at some point. I look at a loss as a learning experience. “What can I have done different here? What were the mental contributions to me leading into getting into this losing trade?” I ask myself questions like that and learn as best as possible. It helps.
